Haiku

Haiku inventing,
count numbers: five, seven, five.
poem is created.

Little can't be said
in seventeen syllables
that needs to be heard.

I considered (the).
Seven word science fiction
but Haiku fell out.

It has three. /kən.ˈsɪd.əɹd/ In American English anyway. In some dialects "poem" has two syllables; like /poˑɛm/ or /poˑɪm/. In fact, Shawn pronounces it /poˑim/. But, I think the monosyllabic /pom/ or /poʊm/ are perfectly acceptable.

Sorry for all the IPA gibberish, it's the only way really know how to clearly explain sounds anymore. I'm sure Richard can read it to you if you can't. Have a linguistically interesting day!
