Things yet to do this break..

Things that I have yet to do in the two to three days left of this break:

  • Enjoy my break a little bit more, which is to say, I need to relax.
  • write a paper for German.
  • begin some hardcore research for my History paper
  • read the rest of my book for history
  • learn how and when to capitalize words
  • Fix my lips, which are so dry that they seem to crack and bleed every time I breath
  • clean my room
  • write a program
  • practice piano
  • sleep
  • charge my phone
  • do some IHS work
  • make a budget
  • do some apartment hunting
  • try to make some thai food at home.
  • taxes
and probably about a hundred million more things, but those are the big ones. I'm kindda sad that we didn't do ice skating during this break at all, but I guess that's life. i mean, I have worked everyday this week except for Monday, so I've probably done about the normal amount of hours done in two weeks in this last week.
I'm kind of stuck in a moral/ethical delima at work right now. My boss is gone, on vacation and she asked me to monitor a co-worker while she is away. Now, this doesn't seem much like a delima, but I'm afraid that it may directly lead to her termination in the company. While I'm aware that it should be none of my business, it still bothers me slightly. However, I'm not going to ignore her instructions. As a wise person once told me, 'a person only gets fired if they get themself fired.'

Anyhow, so I'm going to work on that getting some of that sleep.
Goodnight,
Elizabeth.

Sulphur pictures

Just some pics of Sulphur, OK. Nothing special, nothing really to report, or worth mentioning. Sorry.

Whoo! I think we probably saw about 2 dozen signs and 0 maps. This was just the first.

Yay... shadows.

R. thinks he's superman or something.

Ooooo, pretty water... pretty greene that is.

We went down this! \/ Talk about crazy.

They have nifty little stone walk ways over the river in many spots. As we entered town there was a green state/town sign that pointed the way to the "Sulphur Works Administration" so I imagine most of it was done by the WPA back in the day.

This one is my favorite... the reflection in the glasses... it's fun. Gotta get rid of the stubble though. Oh well

Anyhow that's it for now. Hope everyone is enjoying pi day, and eating some too.
Later,
Elizabeth.

The Strokes

We went to the Strokes concert last night!!!! It was great. They literally played for 1.5-2 hours straight. The people who started for them were "Eagles of DeathMetal." They were weird. The sound was good, the words not so good and the lead singer really wanted to "hear it for the ladies!" He was almost creepy in his need to "hear it for the ladies" and just yeah. Weird guy. The band looked like they had been trying to hit it big since they were 17, and being that they're now early 30s, they just never changed since. There was a big guy, kindda round, thick glasses w/the lenses that extend to cover the side of the frames there with really blonde hair, one of the guitar players. He had a mohawk. It was really kindda weird, like seeing your dad w/a mohawk sort of thing. Anyhow, enough about them. The Strokes were awesome. They played almost all of their songs! It is a close tie now, between the Strokes & the Killers for who had the better concert. They definately had more lights at the Strokes. They had some pretty awesome LED sticks. They were probably 4 inches by 6 feet and there were 3 of them on each side. Each one had red, blue & yellow & green LEDs in them in diagonals. They were really cool. There were the three bars on each side and probably about... 5 or 6 bars on the center part of the stage. it was nifty. I want to make one. but that would be difficult & time consuming. But they were pretty nifty.
In KoL news... if you haven't joined my clan: 'Normanites of Afar', you should. Oh, and I bought a store!!!!! Eeeee!!!! Nifty funness. as I was adding stuff to it, it was disappearing faster than I could add it. I think it's groovy. I added like 3K meat to it for advertising budget, but I don't think I will add anymore, because I was ranked like #4384 or something like that, and it was still disappearing faster than I could add it, which means that I probably set my prices too low. But oh well. I like them like that.
Anyhow, my ears are still ringing from last night, and I desperately need a shower, and to wash the clothes I wore last night, so I'm gonna end this post for now. Have a nice day! For all of those of you on break, I hope you enjoy it. Have a good one!
Later,
Elizabeth.

Mr. Big: To be with you

This is just a great song that I haven't heard in a long time, and I somehow got it stuck in my head while I was in the shower. So.. yeah. Hope you enjoy.

To Be With You Lyrics

Hold on little girl
Show me what he's done to you
Stand up little girl
A broken heart can't be that bad
When it's through, it's through
Fate will twist the both of you
So come on baby come on over
Let me be the one to show you

I'm the one who wants to be with you
Deep inside I hope you feel it too
Waited on a line of greens and blues
Just to be the next to be with you

Build up your confidence
So you can be on top for once
wake up who cares about
Little boys that talk too much
I've seen it all go down
Your game of love was all rained out
So come on baby, come on over
Let me be the one to hold you

Chorus

Why be alone when we can be together baby
You can make my life worthwhile
And I can make you start to smile

When it's through, it's through
Fate will twist the both of you
So come on baby come on over
Let me be the one to show you

Eeee!! Pretty tulips!!!

My boyfriend love me!!! Eeeee!!! So yeah.. Royal Bavaria wasn't open today, so we went to Othello's instead. They have really good food. It was great. Anyhow, so yeah, even with that stupid midterm, this day ended up being alright. Actually, it ended up being really quite great. I don't think I did very well on my test, but Richard is great. One year in, and it's really great still. I'm definately looking forward to another year. Thanks for everything.

Anyhow, time for sleep,
Goodnight everyone,
Elizabeth
