Einstein Rocks my world

Short segue... I just realized that my bird clock is off by alot... that is, the chirp is off by about 7 hours... oh well, I don't want to fix it. Oh yeah, and Richard would be proud of me... I got up this morning, and I get ready for work, and I made my bed. Yay! (?) I think that deserves a cookie. But anyhow... I don't really want to talk today, but I want to share with everyone some great quotes I have come across from various soruces. But I like them...

"It takes both sunshine and rain to make a rainbow."

"
Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing stripes with plaid comes easy!" - Einstien

"A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car; but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad."
-Theodore Roosevelt

"You've got to be careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there" -Yogi Berra

"The secret of success is to do common things uncommonly well." -John D. Rockefeller

Imagination is more important than knowledge...

Albert Einstein

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Albert Einstein

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

Albert Einstein

The ideals which have lighted my way, and time after time have given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Kindness, Beauty, and Truth. The trite subjects of human efforts, possessions, outward success, luxury have always seemed to me contemptible.

Albert Einstein

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.

Albert Einstein

The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is at all comprehensible.

Albert Einstein

The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

Albert Einstein

We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality.

Albert Einstein

Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.

Albert Einstein, "Science, Philosophy and Religion: a Symposium", 1941

A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.

Mark Twain

Always acknowledge a fault. This will throw those in authority off their guard and give you an opportunity to commit more.

Mark Twain

Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

Mark Twain

An Englishman is a person who does things because they have been done before. An American is a person who does things because they haven't been done before.

Mark Twain

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.

Mark Twain

I personally really like the ones from Einstein, but they are all useful in some fashion or another; if for nothing else, then as a cute saw. Later, ~Liz~

Here's to the Crazy ones.

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorigy or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? We make tools for these kinds of people. While some may see them as crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."
-- Apple Computer Advertisement.

This quote is something everyone should take to heart. If someone tells you you're crazy, thank them. If they say you're insane, tell them you're eccentric in need of funding. Don't ever come down on someone for being different. It is the differences in this world that make it great.

Ewan McGregor in Down with Love, doesn't he clean up pretty?  Posted by Hello

Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan in Episode 3 Posted by Hello

A quick Review

StarWars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith

While the acting in the movie is definately sub-par from the actors playing both Anakin (Hayden Christensen), and Amadala (Natalie Portman), Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) has once again done a wonderful job. As a whole, this movie was much better than the past two, in my opinion. The way the movie was laid out, and filmed flows much better with the 4, 5, & 6th episodes. The dialog was still cheesy, and just awfull, but not nearly so bad as the second episode. Thank you Episode 3, you have restored my love for Star Wars! So, my overall vote for this film would be about a 7.75 out of 10 (10 being perfect). In the series, I would rate it at an 8.25 with the same rating system. I definately think that episode 2 was the worst all the episodes, and that episode 3 is about equal with the 3 original releases. So, if you have been following the series, and lost faith in George Lucas due to either episodes 1 or 2, yet enjoyed 4, 5, & 6, you would definately enjoy episode 3. It is a good movie, lots of action, lots of fighting, and as always, fun with Yoda. Yoda's lines were still forced, but better than the 2nd episode. So to conclude this bit of blog, I leave you with this:: Ewan McGregor... swoon! (BTW - he will be appearing in the film THE ISLAND also coming out sometime this year.) This would probably be the appropriate time to mention that he is married.

PS - I believe we ended Rodney's posting with 'darkness' to which I respond Night! (or "I believe in a thing called love, just listen to the rhythm of my heart...")
